Olde Sweet Shop Cinema

A brand identity for an independent cinema in a former sweet shop.

Inspired by retro design, the vintage sweet illustrations, hand-made typography and quirky graphic style aimed to combine the past with the present. This was to appeal to a wide-ranging audience of young and old, and reference the building’s former use.

Providing an alternative to the large, chain multiplex cinemas we are familiar with on our high streets, the brand aimed to create nostalgia through a contrastingly contemporary cinema experience for audiences; reflected in the unique branded identity.
